The sculpture, The Spirit of the Earth, is made of soil and painted concrete by journalist and artist: Knud Seerup.
The occasion for the construction was European City of Culture 1996 in Copenhagen / Denmark.
The artist imagines that the earth contains a spirit that keeps an eye on whether we humans manage the entrusted heritage, the environment and the earth correctly.
The spirit is just about to break through the earth's crust.
Where can I find the sculpture?
The sculpture is located in front of Fredericia Sports Center and the Best Western Hotel Fredericia.
