Lille Vildmose

In the midst of Lille Vildmose lies the Lille Vildmose Center - a lively communication center that provides insight into the natural and cultural values of the bog. The Lille Vildmose Center is the natural starting point for a visit to the bog and offers a variety of family-friendly experiences.

You can, among other things:

  • visit the new experience room about Nordens Giants - moose and red deer
  • Watch nature films in the cinema
  • Fly in the eagle simulator
  • Look at plants and animals in the nature workshop
  • Experience the exciting interactive exhibitions built around four themes:
    • Formation of the bog
    • The bog and the people
    • Plants and animals of the bog
    • Experiences in the bog

Outside there are also many cool experiences waiting.

You can, among other things:

  • Go in search of Nordens Giants in "The Wild" - if you dare..
  • Take a ride on the peat train
  • Release the children on the brand new playground
  • Visit some of the many observation towers

Admission tickets to the Lille Vildmose Center must be purchased at the center's reception. The ticket grants access to the center's activities, nature playground, exhibition, and wild boar feeding.

If you need a refreshment or a meal before heading out into the bog, the center also offers Café Soldug, which serves cakes, light dishes, open sandwiches, and grill.

Lille Vildmose is located north of Øster Hurup, which is located north of the Mariager Fjord on the east coast - Denmark's most child-friendly beach.

In this area, there are many holiday homes, but in Øster Hurup, there is also a campsite: Kattegat Strand Camping.

This area is a holiday gem with beautiful nature such as the Kattegat, the Mariager Fjord, the Rold Forest, the Lille Vildmose, and much more.
