Visit Drejerinden & Værkstedsfejeren in the old co-op shop in Ejlby – a cosy woodturning studio where you can experience North Funen craftsmanship up close. Here you’ll find the popular Miss U figures and a whole range of unique wooden art pieces full of stories.
The name Drejerinden comes from the Danish word trædrejerinden, meaning a female woodturner. Værkstedsfejeren literally means “the workshop sweeper” and refers with a smile to the one who sweeps up in the workshop.
In the workshop, sustainability and upcycling are a natural part of the craft. Old chair legs, tabletops and offcuts are given new life as bowls, vases, tapas boards and quirky figures. Drejerinden is a trained designer, so aesthetics, shapes and creative ideas go hand in hand with a love of upcycled materials.
The Miss U family is inspired by a long North Funen tradition of hand-painted wooden art – and every figure is turned and painted by hand right here in Ejlby. In the shop you’ll also find carefully selected handcrafted pieces from other Danish designers.

Open every Thursday 13:00–17:00 and whenever the sign is out.
