Escif is originally from Valencia, but today he is active globally and he has painted murals in countries like Canada, Italy and France. His work is usually very simple and the colours are dim, this helps the artist communicate an actual message through the painting.

Escif uses humour to comment on relevant and contemporary issues connected with capitalism, politics, economics and other thorny social topics. The main point for Escif is the message, not the style, and this becomes apparent in his toned-down manner of art.
