About Skamlingsbanken
Skamlingsbanken is the highest point in Southern Jutland, a small mountain that rises 113 metres above sea level. From the top of Skamlingsbanken you can look out over the water called Lillebælt. And maybe catch a glimpse of the Little Belt Bridge.
Skamlingsbanken is a historically important place. A place where many people met and where important speeches were made. A place where many have spoken up for their cause - something that was particularly important to them. Speeches that have influenced the way we live today.

Skamlingsbanken Visitor Centre
Hidden in the hill is the Visitor Centre, where you can see the digital exhibition and learn about what's special about Skamlingsbanken. In the visitor centre you can also buy ice cream and coffee in Café Skau.

Summer activities for the whole family
During school holidays, there are activities for children and their families at Skamlingsbanken. You can join in when a bonfire is lit at the Visitor Centre. You can also take a walk on Skamlingsbanken and look for hidden clues. Every day during the summer holidays you can join in with activities big and small. Why not build your own insect hotel or challenge your grandmother to a friendly round of Nature Bingo.

Nature is calling you
The nature at Skamlingsbanken is just beautiful and with plenty of room to play. Skamlingsbanken was formed during the last ice age more than 15,000 years ago. A large glacier moved up through the Little Belt and pushed rocks and gravel ahead of it, forming the hills. On Skamlingsbanken you'll find meadows, fields and forest, and plenty of trails to explore. Take a brisk walk down to the water through the forest.

Try the game: The mystery on Skamlingsbanken
The story in the game is a mystery on Skamlingsbanken. Meet the professor who takes you on a time-travelling journey back to 1863 when the Skamlingsbanken support is erected. But something goes wrong! Via your mobile phone, you are guided around the area to solve different tasks. The tasks are solved through a combination of mobile technology and movement.
Find the game in the ‘Vizgu’ app. Search for ‘Mystery on Skamlingsbanken’.
