Rettrupkær Lake is a scenic gem located in Hvidbjerg Plantation near Spøttrup. Surrounded by dense forest and open landscapes, the lake is privately owned and not accessible to the public. However, visitors can enjoy stunning views of the lake and its rich birdlife from the small bird observation platform north of the lake and from Rettrup Kærvej. The area is home to a wide variety of birds, including herons, ducks, birds of prey, and small songbirds, all thriving in the diverse natural surroundings.
In the western part of Hvidbjerg Plantation, a cozy hunting cabin is open to all passersby. It’s a perfect spot to take a break, enjoy a packed lunch, or seek shelter from the weather.
