Læsø Historiepark og Ægirs Have gammelt kort

Ægir's Garden and Læsø History Park epitomize a delightful mixed marketplace in the best possible way: Ægir's Garden offers space for a large plant sale during the season, featuring everything from spring flowers to bulb plants, herbs, ornamental flowers, Læsø shallots, garlic, and much, much more. There is also a permanent flea market with many wonderful items from local 'flea people'. You will also find a mini-café with coffee and homemade pastries, where you can sit and enjoy yourself, and there are large and cozy outdoor areas where various crops are grown. Bonfires are held during Midsummer, and you will also find one of Læsø's more well-known artworks in the area, namely Herbert Parker's Land Art Læsø Labyrinth, created in 2016 for the Læsø Art Festival using a steel skeleton, Læsø willow, and eelgrass.

Read more here about Ægir's Garden and stop by yourself - there are summer markets, a harvest market, sing-along evenings, and more.

A good piece of advice:

Summer markets and a harvest market

Ægirs Have og Læsø Historiepark

Ægir's Garden and Læsø History Park provide space for a series of traditional markets - a range of summer markets and a large harvest market. Common to both is that many good deals can be made, and you can buy grilled sausages, beer, soft drinks, and coffee and cake.

Like many other things, it is usually announced on Facebook.

Local flea market items

Ægirs Have og Læsø Historiepark

Læsø is a flea island, meaning that there are always plenty of opportunities to find virtually anything under the sun. Mostly, of course, in the season when there are also large markets around, but also throughout most of the year when there are flea sales in many places. One of the main spots is in Ægir's Garden, where in the large greenhouse there are always many locals who offer many things from their stands that you didn't know you were missing terribly:-)!

Sing-along

Ægirs Have og Læsø Historiepark

Ægir's Garden is located near Østerby and Østreby Harbour, featuring large outdoor areas, a very large greenhouse, and a large hall. If the weather is not suitable for outdoor activities, many events take place indoors and in dry conditions. There is a flea market, the sale of vegetables and flowers, and a local attraction: sing-along evenings on special occasions, usually with Læsø's own troubadour Allan Strøm providing the music and leading the singing, with songbooks filled with various classics.

As with many other things, most events are announced on Ægir's Garden's Facebook page, so click in and follow them to stay informed.

Midsummer at Ægir's Garden

Ægirs Have og Læsø Historiepark

On June 23rd each year, there is a tradition not only for Læsø's largest Midsummer bonfire but probably one of the largest in the country in terms of volume - there is both space and local effort, with garden waste being collected from the entire area. Midsummer at Ægir's Garden always features a well-known bonfire speaker, good drinks, delicious grilled sausages, as well as coffee and homemade pastries.
