From July 5th to August 2nd, 2025, Højriis Castle opens its gates and invites you inside to solve this year’s mystery.
You will have the chance to explore the castle’s beautiful and dramatic universe – but stay sharp! Listen at doors, read letters, pay attention to even the smallest details, and piece everything together. You are the detectives, and it’s up to you to uncover what has happened. Along the way, you will encounter fascinating characters who bring the mystery to life.

Rendezvous with the Truth – The Mystery of Højriis Castle
The castle’s owner and poison researcher, Duke Konrad, has traveled to Cornwall with his daughter Rose to rest after completing a major research project—one that has led to a highly interesting discovery. Now, he has earned the right to enjoy the sea and the waves.
Housekeeper Karna Blom, as usual, runs the castle with an iron fist. But this summer, it’s proving to be quite the challenge. The new maid has her mind elsewhere, little Emil rummages through guests’ belongings and finds the most peculiar things, and Butler Måns still hasn’t quite mastered handling the porcelain. The last thing Karna Blom needed was unexpected visitors…
Throughout the day, countless improvised scenes filled with comedy and drama will unfold everywhere – in the courtyard, in the grand hall, in Miss Rose’s chambers, by the fireplaces, and in the many other magnificent rooms of the castle. The actors create a captivating illusion and truly bring the castle to life.
