Take a walk in the past
Amazing finds in Boest.
In spring 2015, archaeologists from "Museum Midtjylland" did som very special finds near Nr. Snede. A site from the early bronze age (1800 - 1600 BC) revealed very valuable axes and gold rings, which have now been handed over to the National Museum as treasure troves.
Forestry and Local History.
The museum is housed in the former Forest Supervisor’s residence and presents a fine collection from the Nørre Snede region, including textiles, toys, and pictures. Vester Palsgaard Skovmuseum offers forestry and local history, nature information center, local archive, and tourist information office.
Great Hiking Area.
Vester Palsgaard Skovmuseum presents local culture and history from ancient times to the present day, with the emphasis on the history of the woods. The forests are endowed with traces of ancient cultures such as burial mounds, wheel tracks and milestones.
At the museum, you can buy coffee and cake in the small café. Visitors are also welcome to bring their own food. The museum also houses a small tourist information, so here you can easily find inspiration to your stay in the area.
