The artwork consists of 6 tiles weighing 400 kg and was given by the association “Aldrig mere krig” (Never War Again). The tiles were laid down in Sjællandsgade in 1986 in connection with the renovation of the street.

There are 5 tiles with big footprints and the 6th tile bears the quotation of Lao-Tse 580 B.C. in Danish: I de store hæres fodspor følger bestandig hungersnød (The big armies’ footprints are followed constant hunger)
