The museum without walls
The Museum of Contemporary Art was founded in 1991 as the country's first museum of contemporary art. The basic idea behind the museum was to create a museum that would work with the latest art and the latest art forms, i.a. sound art, performance art, video art, online art and other art forms that have helped to renew the perception of art in recent decades.
Today, the museum works with the latest forms of expression of Danish and international contemporary art - and has a unique strategy of freeing itself from traditional frameworks, and only arranging exhibitions etc. in the open space.
