The creation of the wall paintings in the Ansgar Church 860 AD

The first church in present Denmark was built in Ribe in the middle of the 9th century, that's during the Danish Viking Age. Bacl then a visualization of the Bible stories was essential to the success of the Christian message, the new religion. That is why we are recreating a church interior as it could have looked in the 9th century.
