The first Holy Spirit Church was a temporary church rented from the Church Foundation. This small church, located on Snogebæksvej, was the setting for the parish's services from 1973 until the new church was consecrated on Palm Sunday in 1984. However, the church's bell tower was not built until 1997.
The Holy Spirit Church is the setting for a wealth of activities every day of the week and is a central gathering place in the area, which consists partly of social housing with many refugees/immigrants and semi-detached housing estates. The parish has a population of approximately 8,400.
