Sinebjerg Markhus was originally an important part of the peasant culture around the 19th century. Many fields came to be far from their owner's farm, and there was a need for small houses, where animals and people could eat, rest and take shelter from bad weather. Over the years, the field house has decayed a lot, but with grants from various foundations, the field house has been returned to its original appearance.
As a packed lunch house, the field house will once again function as a small house in a field, where everyone is welcome to seek shelter, eat and rest.
