Take a walk in the past
When the sun is shining, this cosy square fills with the buzz of Copenhageners sitting around the large fountain, enjoying their coffees or cold beers.
However the area is a highlight for food and drinks all year around and you can find everything from Michelin restaurants to less fancy cafés.
Elmegade and Guldbergsgade around the square offer cute little coffee shops and plenty of little design shops to find inspiration – whether you like quirky vintage clothes or minimalistic Danish design. If you’re looking for a more cultural experience, the World Culture Centre is located just around the corner on Nørre Allé. Here you can listen to poetry, watch theatre or just hang out in the cosy courtyard.
