Sabro Church

In the Middle Ages and until the dissolution of the cathedral chapter in the 17th century, the archdeacon supervised the church. On 9 January 1666, Frederik III transferred the patronage rights to Mogens Friis of Favrskov, and when the county of Frijsenborg was established in 1672, the church was incorporated into it.

  • The church has permanent seating for 80 people.
  • For those with walking difficulties: The surface leading up to the church and in the churchyard is granite chippings or pearl gravel. With assistance, it is possible to use both a rollator and a wheelchair on these surfaces.
  • There is access to the church via a ramp. Please contact the gravedigger if you need help installing it.
  • For the hearing impaired: There is a telecoil and the sermon is delivered via microphone.
  • Toilet: There is a disabled toilet at the gravedigger's building. It is open during the gravedigger's working hours and in connection with church services and other events in the church.
  • The cemetery: is located immediately around the church.
