Rescue station Lyngby

Take a walk in the past

Lyngby used to be a small fishing village.

Overnight at the old rescue station

In the old rescue station in the middle of the city, there is today a primitive accommodation.

The Danish Nature Agency owns the Rescue House. The house is always open and can be used for a small fee.

It is not possible to book a place in advance.

You will find the rescue station at Redningsvejen behind the sea dune.

Hiking, cycling and riding routes

Both north and south of Lyngby you can walk along the old rescue road, which was built for the use of the rescue crew when they were going out to a stranding.

The road is today part of the cycling and hiking route North Sea Trail. Read more about the West Coast Path Agger-Bulbjerg.
