Noomi Backhausen Jespersen
Take a walk in the past
Noomi Backhausen received her education in Ceramics in Copenhagen, at the Danish School of Art and Crafts.
While working from 1966 - 1990 as a Ceramic Designer at the reputed, former stoneware manufacture of Søholm, Noomi developed her skills in painting on ceramics.
In 1996 she established her private studio 7 km outside the city of Rønne, on the Danish island of Bornholm. Here, she produces paintings on ceramic café tables, wall hangings, and reliefs of various sizes.
