The sculpture is made by the sculptor Hanne Varming (b. 1939) - one of our good traditional sculptors after Astrid Noack. The sculpture is called “Man with Child” and is from 2004 – it shows Hanne Varming's son and grandson.

Boligselskabet Sct. Jørgen bought the sculpture in connection with the construction of the elderly homes located in Asylgade. The sculpture is so small, because it is a preliminary work for a sculpture erected in the new national prison Østjylland near Horsens.
