Ledreborg Allé

Ledreborg Palace was built in 1740 and has been owned by the same family for eight generations. Surrounded by woodland and parkland, the castle today functions as a vibrant cultural site with farming, forestry, and facilities for events.

A historic time capsule

The palace and its parklands are a striking example of 18th-century building and landscape architecture in Scandinavia. Ledreborg is a magnificent estate with buildings, gardens, and parkland that have been restored and renewed in keeping with the original Baroque style. As a whole, Ledreborg is a unique gem in Danish cultural heritage.

The palace holds an exceptional collection of paintings and furniture. What makes Ledreborg truly special – and increasingly rare in Europe – is that the interiors have remained largely unchanged for 250 years. Over 600 paintings hang closely arranged on the walls, and many fascinating pieces of furniture, tapestries, sculptures and other features remain intact in the grand rooms of the palace.

Experiences and events

Ledreborg Lifestyle Days

Ledreborg hosts the annual Lifestyle Days – a popular spring fair that has drawn visitors for over 30 years. Browse stalls filled with flowers, homeware, gourmet food, jewellery, fashion, crafts, and more. The event also offers palace tours, live performances, tastings, and special zones for children and for visiting dogs.

Ledreborg also sets the scene for many other events, big and small, such as Reborn, dog agility shows, and more. Check the event calendar for details.

Opening hours

The palace is open only for guided tours – see the website for details. The park is open daily from 1 May to 31 October, 11 am–4 pm, for a small fee via MobilePay. Please note the park is closed during certain events – check the calendar before visiting.

Events large and small

Whether you're planning a conference, a corporate event, or a Christmas market, Ledreborg offers a unique venue. The palace’s historic rooms and extensive outdoor spaces can accommodate from 15 to 15,000 guests. There’s plenty of space – both physically and in terms of creativity.

The Palace Barn is ideal for meetings and daytime conferences, while the Park and Courtyard can be transformed into atmospheric event spaces with tents and activities. The combination of cultural heritage and flexibility makes Ledreborg the perfect setting for everything from intimate gatherings to grand company parties.
