Take a walk in the past
Throughout 2023 and 2024, eight solo exhibitions by Danish and international artists will be presented. The focus will be on sculpture and installations that engage with the striking space.
Kunsthal Thy was founded by Rasmus Søndergaard Johannsen, who is also its artistic director. It is supported by the Danish Arts Foundation, Thisted
Kommune as well as private foundations.
In connection with each exhibition, activities are organised with local assocations and volunteers, so the exhibtion program is accessible to children and young people with special needs and mentally vulnerable adults.
Vortex Reloaded - exhibition by Zuzanna Czebatul

The artist Zuzanna Czebatul from Berlin has been invited for Kunsthal Thy's second exhibition. Here you can experience the floor artwork Vortex, which consists of more than 200 concrete tiles with a total weight of more than three tons.
Reflecting origin stories and changes, the work draws Kunsthal Thy and the farm Dovergaard (where Kunsthal Thy is situated) into its vortex since its construction in the 16th century and into the future chapters yet to be written.
