Ice Flowers in Bloom:

For a whole year, Anne Marie Nielsen, who works as an ice artist at Ice Art Thyborøn on a daily basis, has been collecting ideas, techniques, and, most importantly, flowers for this exhibition. Thus, she has been looking forward to creating this exhibition for just as long. The culmination of a year's worth of work and anticipation can be experienced when you visit Ice Art's new exhibition "Ice Flowers in Bloom."
As late summer fades outside the doors, trees lose their leaves, and the garden flowers slowly wither, you can enjoy the sight of the many beautiful flowers that Anne Marie has captured and preserved in ice at Ice Art.
The beautiful works were created by Anne Marie Nielsen and Peter Hausgaard Gregersen - some of them even as a collaboration between the two artists.
About Iskunsten:
In the old building, which was originally built for the purpose of being the town's freeze house, ice has again found a pupose after many years hiatus. In Iskunsten you can experience impressive exhibitions of ice sculptures and ice art.
All year round you can experience different exhibitions, all with new themes and sculptures. Iskunsten is the only ice art exhibition of its kind in Europe.
In addition to the beautiful ice art, you can experience a historical, maritime exhibition about the importance of ice for the fishing industry in Thyborøn. You can also find out more about the building's original purpose and learn about the development of fishing during 100 years.
