The history of the manor house Odden goes back to the 15th and 17th century, has been carefully restored in 2007-2017.
Odden houses a large collection of works by the Danish artist J. F. Willumsen (1863-1958). He was active both as a painter, graphic, sculptor, ceramicist, and architect. Willumsen’s chief works are found in museums all over Scandinavia.
The collection at Odden comprises more than 1400 works, among them preparatory studies for some of Willumsen’s most famous paintings. It was assembled by Victor Petersen (1918-2002) and his wife Kirsten Petersen and established and donated the manor house to the foundation.
