Lohals Harbor is located on the west side of northern Langeland, about 6 km from the northern tip, and offers views over the South Funen Archipelago.
The harbor has been newly renovated and offers excellent facilities. There are shelter areas, with two shelters on land and four floating shelters on the water. You’ll also find barbecue areas, an ice cream kiosk, a playground, and a lovely sandy beach with a bathing jetty. The newly renovated service building, Banjen, provides toilet and shower facilities.
The harbor also features a harbor bath with steps and a saltwater pool for the little ones.
Lohals’ heyday
Lohals enjoyed its heyday in the early 1900s when many tourists discovered it as a thriving maritime community with good ferry connections to Zealand. In 1980, the harbor had to be expanded due to growing interest. The ferry route to Zealand closed in 1998, and today the harbor is a popular marina.
