Femern A/S Exhibition Centre

The construction of the world’s longest immersed tunnel – the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel – between Rødbyhavn in Denmark and Puttgarden in Germany has begun. 

Visit the exhibition in the centre of Rødbyhavn to view the construction of the 18 km tunnel and the other projects in the region ahead of the tunnel opening in 2030. 

The cross-border Fehmarnbelt Tunnel comprises a two-lane motorway in each direction and a double-track railway for high-speed trains. When the tunnel opens, the journey by car from Denmark to Germany will take 10 minutes and just seven minutes by train. The exhibition provides a comprehensive insight into all facets of the Fehmarnbelt project through pictures, models and films – in Danish and English. Guides are on hand to provide more details about the project and answer questions.

The exhibition also offers an outdoor playground area equipped with tables and benches.

You can also visit the viewing platform at Gl. Badevej in Rødbyhavn to see the ongoing works on land at offshore. The binoculars at the viewing platform offers a great view of the nearby tunnel portal and the extensive activities near the coast.
