Two permanent exhibitions are presented at Pederstrupgaard. One presents the history and development of Ballerup Municipality. The second deals with the grand duchess Olga, who was the daughter of tsar Alexander III and empress Dagmar. The exhibition includes around 100 of her paintings and watercolours.
A typical farming family’s dwelling quarters are presented in Lindbjerggaard’s farmhouse as they appeared in the 1800s and 1900s.
Authentic garden and activities
A well-preserved rural garden from 1900 is located in front of Lindbjerggaard’s farmhouse.
Lynsmedens Hus houses an old-fashioned blacksmith’s and grocery store. The blacksmith fires the forge on the last Sunday in the month and for museum events.
The restaurant, run by the organic farm Grantoftegaard, serves organic dishes in the summer months. Grantoftegaard offers horse-drawn carriage rides around the village on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings all year.
