The Wolf is Coming
”Much of my childhood was spent in and around nature and forests, where you could creep close to roe deer, see an owl and find animal tracks. The debate on whether or not to allow wolves to return to the Danish countryside has inspired this large inkpen drawing. In its creation, 6 layers of marker pen were used, this helps to give the work a real sense of depth. The black markerpen can also create many different nuances and it makes a marked contrast to the real world outside the tower.” – Hanne Biben Mortensen
Hanne Biben Mortensen
Hanne Biben Mortensen was born in Vejle in 1952, she is trained in graphic design and is a self taught painter. For many years she worked as an Art Director and taught drawing and painting at an art school. For more than 10 years she has made her home in Rudkøbing, where she also has her studio. She has been represented in amny curated exhibitions, inincluding the Artist's Autumn Exhibition and the Artist's Easter Exhibition.
