About Østerbro

Take a walk in the past

Østerbro is at both posh and easy-going. The area boasts broad boulevards, delicatessen shops, cultural experiences, an array of green oases, and Copenhagen's most famous statue: The Little Mermaid. If you are interested in green living, Østerbro is not only home to parks, beaches, and lakes – the neighbourhood also hosts Copenhagen’s first climate quarter with a focus on climate adjustment, urban gardening, and green spots. In the area around Nordhavn, you can see world class architecture like the UN City, situated right by the blue waters of the harbour. Østerbro is also home to many great culinary and cultural experiences – there are many quality cafes and restaurants to choose from, and a lively theatre scene that also do plays in English.
