Take a walk in the past
In 1891, the danish state began to work on Aalbæk Klitplantage (Dune plantation).
Today, the area covers 736 ha, and is primarily made up of sparse duneland, heath and slightly hilly dune terrain.
Scotch pines are the most common trees in Aalbæk Klitplantage, but there are also mountain pines and a few Austrian pines. Sitka spruce from the North American coast have been planted in the better soil.
