What can be described as the typical Danish DNA? Denmark is a small country, but with many important and historical values and traditions showing importance today. Some of these include democracy, history and the common interaction between people as some of the main values in Denmark, but food, sport, hygge and janteloven are also a huge part of the Danish culture and everyday life. Denmark is a country with a relaxed atmosphere and a lot of people on bikes. Denmark is surrounded by beautiful extraordinary nature, old as well as modern architecture and a lot of history with the Royal family and all the way back to the Vikings.
What is ‘Hygge’?

In the last couple of years, the Danish term Hygge has been internationally promoted in e.g. The Independent and the Washington Post trying to explain what hygge is and how is it possible to do hygge when you are not Dane or in Denmark. Hygge is the Danish art of cosines. Actually, hygge means creating a warm atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life with good people. Hygge can be the warm from a candlelight or cozying up with family and friends for a movie. Many hygge explains why Danes are some of the happiest people in the world?
