      Uhre Mill

      4.33 km

The mill started in 1843 and it was in operation for approximately 107 years. Today, the mill is protected. Uhre Mølle, or Branduhre Mølle, stands on a hill just outside the village of Uhre, approx. 3 kilometers east of Brande. The nearby farm is the old mill farm, and the mill house has the modernized warehouse building, which is used for meetings, parties and exhibitions.

Uhre Mølle ran until around 1950, when electricity made its way into the agricultural holdings - and the storm tore the mill blades off. The mill has a board exhibition about the mill's history in an adjacent building, where you can bring your own coffee or the like indoors at tables and chairs.

The mill has been thoroughly restored and is functional. Furthermore, the full inventory has been preserved.

      Entrance to the mill
The mill is open respectively on Sunday 28 August and Sunday 18 September in 2022.

It costs DKK 20 for adults and free for children - must be according to adults.

In addition, the mill can be visited by appointment.

      "Pakhuset"
It is permitted to sit in the warehouse with brought food/coffee and at tables and benches outside.

It is possible to use a toilet - disabled-friendly. There are tables and chairs for 30-40 people.

      Museum Give

      13.42 km

The museum's exhibitions tell about the time when the heath dominated the western part of the municipality of Vejle - a time when people survived on the poor lands with hard work and poor living conditions.

Afterwards, you can experience the flourishing station town that made its way into the area. Village life changed in step with the cultivation of the heath, and with the development came the booming industry and population growth.

In the Village School you can experience a classroom as it looked in the countryside at the beginning of the 20th century. The time when all the students sat together in one room and only had a single teacher.

The museum’s permanent exhibitions include “The Heathland Farm”, “Trade and Crafts”, “The Old Classroom”, “Textiles and Handicrafts” and “The Niels Kjeldsen Hall”. In “The Historic Kitchen” you can experience a wood-fired stove and taste the freshly baked waffles made on the stove.

At the Give-Egnens Museum you can roam freely on the farmland, through the medical herb garden, the kitchen garden, the apple grove and the museum forest, where there is a lovely forest playground with a campfire site.

Throughout the year, various activities and events are held, including lectures, winter and autumn holiday activities, a children’s agricultural show and Christmas activities.

See opening hours and further information at www.museumgive.dk or on our Facebook or Instagram pages.

      Additional Information

      • Dogs on a leash are allowed in the museum. Additionally, there is a dog forest nearby.
      • Accessibility is good. Contact the museum for further questions.
      • E-bikes can be charged at the museum.

Welcome to WOW PARK – a huge play and amusement park in the middle of the forest, where families can adventure together up in the treetops, on the forest floor, underground, and even among the waves – all in a safe and beautiful environment.

WOW PARK features lots of open space, fresh air, and a stunning natural area spanning an area larger than 40 football fields.

The GIANT – CRAZY attraction in WOW PARK Billund

In Scandinavia’s highest free fall slide tower – the GIANT - the bravest guests can try the LIGHTNING – the park’s new 20-metre free fall slide or one of the 2 other cool slides. The whole family can experience the spectacular view from the top of the tower in 25 metres height!

      Try the 3 crazy slides!

      - The LIGHTNING – reach your maximum speed with the 20-metre free fall slide.

      - The SPIRAL – spin like crazy in the wildest forest.

      - The FOREST RACER – race with your friends. Who will come first?

Are you ready for a crazy experience? Reach your top speed with the free fall slide – if you dare!

Treehouses, giant slides and suspension bridges 14 metres high

Have you ever played in the treetops? Swooshed down slides at full speed? Run from tree to tree on high-flying bridges? Do it all at WOW PARK, a magical place full of sky-high fun. And be sure to try our 40-metre long sledding run, where you can zoom down the hill, even in summer.

Wild ziplines, giant swings and high-hanging cargo nets

Race down ziplines at full speed and challenge each other to a wild contest on the Giant swings. Jump and play among big bouncy balls in one of our treetop nets up to 300 sq. meters in size.

Underground caves, secret hideouts and a giant maze

In WOW PARK's underground universe, you can crawl on all fours and discover hideouts among secret entrances and winding paths. Above ground, the entire family is challenged to find their way through the wooden twists and turns of the willow forest and the fun, mysterious labyrinth.

Water World - a great splash of fun

You’re never too old to play with water! In Water World, you can tip over the barrels and spill water all the way down the mountain, making small floods and fun waterfalls.

      Let the games begin!

      The friendly goats

Swing by our gregarious goats and say hello to old Villy, cheeky Frida and little Mads. They are very tame and they love to eat grass right from your hand.
