Svanevig Højgruppe

Take a walk in the past

Along Highway 9 at Svanevig just west of Bandholm approx. 100 metres in the field.
Svanevig  (Svan Cove) is named after the many swans that winter in the cove. The cove is dominated by the many burial mounds with pine trees. The mounds have never been excavated, but are presumed to date from the Bronze Age, 1700 - 500 BC.
