Nybæk Plantation was acquired by the Danish Nature Agency in 1957-58.
The plantation primarily consists of a uniform sitka spruce vegetation with straight paths and ditches.
The many gaps between the trees are due to previous peat extraction.
In the plantation, there are two excavated lakes from the late 1970s. The lakes have open surroundings in the form of bog or grass areas.
Otters have often been observed in both lakes and in Nybæk.
There are roe deer in the plantation, and it is believed that the red kite and the pigeon hawk breed in the area.
HIKING TRAIL
In Nybæk Plantation, you can follow the blue route, which guides you through the area and its beautiful nature experiences.
Along the way, you can take a break on the benches set up along the route.
At the end of the route, you will find a picnic shelter and a campfire site where you are welcome to eat your packed meal or prepare it over the fire.
The picnic shelter is located about 200 meters from the parking lot, which is at Løkkensvej 998.

PARKING
You will find the entrance to the plantation at the large rest area, just 1 km south of Løkken (right after crossing Nybæk), on the east side of the main road.
