Behind the artist duo Vinyl -terror & -horror are Camilla Sørensen and Greta Christensen, who specialize in sound, sculpture, installation, and performance. One characteristic of the duo is that they often use familiar everyday objects—like in this case, downspouts, which are manipulated and placed in a new context.

In this installation, the duo has extended and altered the existing downspouts of the passage. During the day, one sees a composition of twisted and crooked downspouts in an absurd constellation. When night falls, light is cast on the pipes, creating a shadow on the wall—a shadow that one would never guess during the day. Film enthusiasts will recognize the shadow as the figure Nosferatu from the German vampire and silent film classic "Nosferatu, a Symphony of Horror" from 1922.

The eerie nature of the figure disappears because we know that it is "just" some downspouts we are looking at. At the same time, it reminds us that our imagination can quickly run wild, and we can see and hear scary things when we move through dark, narrow passages at night.
