Alderslyst Church

Alderslyst Church is located in northern Silkeborg and is a modern parish church with roots dating back to 1929.

A church full of life

The church is more than just a place for Sunday services. It buzzes with life all week long – from children's choirs and concerts to lectures and communal meals. It is a place where all generations meet and where tradition and innovation go hand in hand.

Architecture and decoration

The church's architecture is characterised by simplicity and functionality, and inside you will find a bright and open church space with modern decoration and beautiful details.

All of the windows in the church were fitted with stained glass made ​​by the artist Sven Havsteen-Mikkelsen. The churchyard contains four stone sculptures by Erik Heide. The pathway between the churchyard and the parish hall is marked by 12 steles, also by Erik Heide.
