Christianshavn is a much-desired area for Copenhageners to live and you will easily see why. Christianshavn is central, full of bars and restaurants and has a unique maritime atmosphere. Enjoy a cold beer by the canal, dine at one of the cosy restaurants, or get an extraordinaire experience along Holmen where you will find The Royal Danish Opera and Copenhagen Street food on Papirøen (Paper Island). Of course you should not forget to pop in to the freetown Christiania, also situated in Christianshavn, and look at the intriguing architecture.
