Danish Architecture Center (DAC) is an international cultural attraction passionate about engaging more people in the world og architecture. It explores architecture, urban development and design from its base at BLOX on Copenhagen harbourside. You can visit engaging exhibitions or join city walks and events – also for families.
The regularly-updated exhibitions at DAC showcase the latest trends in architecture along with insights from leading Danish architects. It's a place to discover masters of architecture like Jan Gehl and Arne Jacobsen, along with the most interesting Danish studios right now, for example BIG and 3XN, who have produced innovative architecture such as the VM Houses in Ørestad and the UN city at Copenhagen harbor. DAC also hosts permanent exhibitions about Danish architecture and design history – also experience the DAC Slide – the wildest art installation in Copenhagen that challenge your senses on a unique 40-meter, 4-story spiral slide
Guided architecture tours
You can also experience architecture up close with DAC as your personal guide. A variety of public guided tours with expert guides uncover Copenhagen's architectural legacy, with visits to hidden modern gems, new Danish icons, vibrant neighbourhoods and historic landmarks. It's all aimed to showcase the reasons why Copenhagne is one of the most livable and sustainable cities in the world. All tour tickets include free entrance to DAC.
DAC Design Shop and Café
DAC Design Shop is a hub for design products in the Copenhagen Cultural District. Visit and explore an inspiring design store featuring lifestyle products from leading and upcoming Danish and international brands.
When you've fully explored the exhibition space and shop, head for the top. High above Copenhagen's streets, DAC Café serves simple and elegant Nordic dishes made from local and organic produce. To one side, you have spectacular views of the vibrant waterfront, and to the other, the Copenhagen Cultural District displays a unique view of 1,000 years of Danish history.Whether you go for drinks or dinner, DAC Café offers new perspectives on Copenhagen from three large rooftop terraces.
