Tambohus Kro & Badehotel is located in one of the most beautiful places by Limfjorden, by an old fishing village just across the water from the small island Jegindø. Here you will find a true natural paradise with a rare amount of peace and quiet. The inn's origin from 1842 have left its mark on the place's charm and the location is unique with a view of Limfjorden in northwestern Jutland.

Gastronomic experiences are highly valued with ingredients from local suppliers, where fish is one of the specialties. The inn's staff likes to host and serve guests.

From the restaurant and some of the rooms there is a unique panoramic view of Limfjorden and Jegindø.

The inn is perfectly located for golf holidays, cycling holidays, fishing trips and hiking in northwestern Jutland. The nature is magnificent, and here is plenty of peace and quiet for those who need to unwind from a hectic everyday life. Denmark's first national park in Thy is free to visit and is only a few kilometers from the inn. With view over the fjord

You can hardly imagine a more beautiful and peaceful location, but it is not the lovely nature that has determined that there should be an inn here. In 1823, a young fisherman named Christen Pedersen settled here, but he was never called anything other than Chresten Tambour, because he had been a drummer in his time in the army.

In 1830 he received permission from the king to operate the ferry to Jegindø as a reward for rescuing a woman from drowning, and 12 years later he was given the royal privilege to operate a ferry inn under the name Tambohus Kro & Badehotel. Thus the inn has been located here for more than 170 years, and it has been continuously restored and expanded without compromising the coziness and the traditional inn atmosphere.

At Tambohus Kro & Badehotel you have the opportunity to spend the night in bright and inviting rooms. There are 29 beautiful double rooms with private shower and toilet. Most rooms have a telephone, satellite TV, hairdryer and Wi-Fi internet access.
