Nice roadside inn between Hobro and Randers

Purhus Kro is situated in a little valley on the old highway between Randers and Hobro, and this has been the case for 265 years. The location is ideal for those, who seek peace and quiet, but at the same time the inn is only a few minutes’ drive by car from the E45. Thus, the inn is an ideal base for those, who plan an experience-rich tour to towns such as Randers, Hobro, Viborg, Mariager, Aalborg and Aarhus.

Since 2007, the couple hosting guests at Purhus Kro has been Bettina Larsen and Henrik Krogh Jensen, and they take pride in giving guests a first-class experience when they live and dine at Purhus Kro. The place is a good base if you want to see some of Denmark's biggest attractions. E.g., within 30 minutes’ drive you can experience Den Gamle By, ARoS Art Museum or Moesgaard Museum near Aarhus. If you drive north instead, sights such as Randers Rainforest and Djurs Sommerland can be recommended.

Cosy Inn in beautiful surroundings

In the cozy restaurant, they serve good Danish inn food, which is homemade with great love for the traditional dishes such as tartlets with chicken in asparagus, open sandwiches, Wiener schnitzel and ground beef with caramelized onions. For lunch, there is of course both delicious open sandwiches and a body plate with E.g., herring, fish fillet and hot tenderloin. accompanying the food, you can choose a variety of good grapes from the wine menu or a special beer "Purhus Ale". Naturally, there is also a selection of children's dishes on the menu.

All the rooms at the inn have their own shower / toilet, telephone, new flat screen TV and free internet access. The rooms in a new room wing are hypoallergenic and non-smoking, but on request you can also get a "smoking room" at the inn. In some rooms it is allowed to bring a dog.

The inn has a large garden, where there is a playground for the children, and the adults can sit down at the tables and enjoy a refreshment. A few meters from the garden runs the river, where there is a good stock of brook and rainbow trout. The inn's guests have free fishing rights in the river.
