Internationally known hotel at Øresund and with Kronborg Castle as a neighbor

The internationally known hotel at the waterfront was built in 1901 in connection with the wellness centre Cuur- og Badeanstalt, which was then situated in the castle Marienlyst Slot. The then Crown Prince Frederik later to become King Frederik 8th gave the hotel permission to fly a swallow-tailed flag and have a royal crown in its logo. In 1990 the hotel got permission to run a casino.

When visiting Elsinore, you must naturally visit the castle Kronborg Slot and see the sculpture of the legendary Holger Danske in the casemates of Kronborg.

The hotel is one of Denmark's largest conference hotels and have in that category been granted five stars. There are 20 bright meeting rooms, the largest of which seats 380 people. There is no doubt that hotel guests also appreciate the relaxed atmosphere of the lounge and bar, the opportunity for a run along the water, as well as of course the casino, which offers American Roulette, Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold em and a string of slot machines. The hotel's restaurant Brasserie 1861 is a class of its own, and it is no wonder that a large number of Europe's royals, princes and celebrities have eaten here. The hotel has all in all 227 rooms and suites distributed in the main building and the mansion building with wireless Internet. There is a huge terrace facing the Sound.
