Modern family-owned hotel in Vejle - close to LEGOLAND

Hotel Hedegaarden is a genuine family hotel. It was built in 1968, but in 1984 Britt and Poul Jørgensen took over, and today they own it together with their two daughters Rikke and Marianne. Rikke is educated in administration and economics, whereas Marianne is a cook and married to the chef of the hotel Tom Thomsen. Over the years the family has made several large renovations, so that today nobody can tell that the oldest parts of the hotel are more than 40 years old.

The hotel is situated in the northern part of Vejle and right beside the motorway exit Vejle Nord. Both on the north and the south side of Vejle Fjord the forest-clad hills invite to recreation and nature experiences and along the fjord there are lots of fine walks and the possibility of a swim in the waves. Only ten minutes from the hotel you will find a large deer park with fallow and sika deer and right beside it Skyttehushaven, a large park with a playground for the kids. In Vejle there are cosy pedestrian streets, department stores and a large indoor shopping centre.

In the middle of town, but close to natural beauty

The chef Tom Thomsen has worked in Japan, the USA, the Middle East, Asia, France and London and he calls himself a convinced fusion cook, who believes in balance and harmony as far as the composition of taste is concerned even though his heart and soul lies partly in the traditional French cuisine. If you are to describe his innovative gastronomy it must be with the words French with an Asian twist  The philosophy of the hotel is ecology, animal welfare, and fair trade, and the chef is convinced that respect and understanding for seasonal ingredients will produce the optimal result.

Hotel Hedegaarden has 75 rooms, all of which up-to-date with a desk, flat screen, free film channels, bath, toilet, hairdryer, trouser press, telephone and free wireless Internet. Weekend stays with 3-course menu, courses, conferences and parties. Art lovers will notice that the hotel is decorated with paintings made by self-taught painter and provocateur Per Dahl. Hotel Hedegaarden has 10 conference rooms and banqueting rooms with a total capacity of 350 persons, of which 225 in one room. Free parking at the hotel.
