Hotel 6400 is a new hotel where the focus is on the most important aspects of staying at a hotel – a good bed and a nourishing, largely organic breakfast. The atmosphere is casual and modern, and the hotel seeks to ensure that its guests have a pleasant stay and positive surprises so they want to return again and again.
Hotel 6400 uses the following words to describe itself: “three-star minimalism at every level”. The hotel, which opened in spring 2017, is completely refurbished, and offers 48 modern and newly renovated rooms. With a minimalist approach in mind, the idea behind the hotel is to give visitors a different experience, one characterised by a cool, casual and modern lifestyle where service and quality are second to none. It also applies to the breakfast, where no shortcuts are taken, and almost all the food is organic.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of Sønderborg, and thus close to the woods and the beach. Nevertheless, it is only about two kilometres to Sønderborg’s bustling city centre with the old royal Sønderborg Castle, where King Christian II was imprisoned in the 1500s, and which today houses a fascinating museum about southern Jutland’s unsettled history.
