Minimalist city hotel with service and quality close to Sønderborg

Hotel 6400 is a new hotel where the focus is on the most important aspects of staying at a hotel – a good bed and a nourishing, largely organic breakfast. The atmosphere is casual and modern, and the hotel seeks to ensure that its guests have a pleasant stay and positive surprises, so they want to return again and again.

The hotel is located near the edge of Sønderborg and thus close to forest and beach. Still, there are only approx. 2 km to the vibrant urban life in Sønderborg with the old royal castle Sønderborg Castle, where Christian II was a prisoner in the 16th century, and which today houses an exciting museum about Southern Jutland’s changeable history.

Hotel 6400 in Sønderborg is all in all an excellent base for guests who want to experience Southern Jutland’s many experiences and get acquainted with the area's special culture and history. You can visit Dybbøl Mill and the history center, which tells about the war in 1864, and you can take a walk on the 74 km long Gendarmsti along the current Danish-German border from Padborg to Høruphav on Als. You can also visit the royal family's summer residence Gråsten Castle and enjoy the floral splendor in the beautiful castle garden. A special South Jutland tradition that dates to the Middle Ages is ring riding, which takes place every summer in Sønderborg, Gråsten and Aabenraa. If you want to shop south of the border, it is less than 50 km from Flensburg.
