The tower in Svanninge Bakker

The first restaurant Skovlyst was built in 1926 by farm owner Jens Andersen. He was interested in astronomy, and in 1935 he built the 18 meter high tower behind the restaurant. In the top there was a telescope placed. Today you can experience a magnificent view of Svanninge Bakker from the tower. On the five floors there is an exhibition about Svanninge Bakker's natural and cultural history.
